Beloved Automobile of Cosmic Amanda

(1986-1999)

      Spunky the Disco Mobile entered immortality on September 24th, 1999.
     I bought Spunky when I was a senior in high school in 1994. She was named Spunky because she was in rough shape when I bought her and would choke to a start when I gave her gas. Someone had joked, "oooh, she's spunky, isn't she?" I began discotizing the interior in 1995, and had her spangled top to bottom by 1998.
     My rusty red companion drove me through all kinds of weather, through good times and bad...and has been overall a wonderful first car. She lasted a lot longer than many people thought, and until the end was a thoroughly dependable car. I will miss her, and will always remember the fun times we all had in Der Sponk.
     There will be no funeral, but if you wish to honk your horn in tribute, I'm sure she'll hear you from car heaven.
