How could you hurt me, after you claimed to be my friend ? How could you watch me and crush me and then, Leave me to die on my own. Why'd it have to be you To do something so terrible to someone who You claimed to love and feigned to respect?
I gave you my trust and you stabbed me in the back Where's the sorrow that I have that you lack? Could it be that you betrayed me Without a thread of remorse, if not for the deed, for our friendship that must now die? Why? I would have been there for you, forever But now we can never be together Because you severed our friendship. When the tears come, To whom will you run?
I remember when we used to smile together Was our friendship real then? If so, I wonder when It first began to fall When the trials come, Whom will you call?
Was it worth it? Did what you got make it Okay to shatter our friendship? How you gonna be When next you see me? Gonna pretend like you've been doing That nothing's been happening To destroy our friendship?
You're sitting on top now Do you even glance down to where you cast me, So unfairly? When the contention begins, Who's gonna hope you win? It used to be I who did that. Until you did what you did.
It's lonely at the top, I should know Soon you can look forward to More fake friends, waiting for the opportunity To do you like you did me. Enjoy it at the top Till your new 'bestfriend' figures your reign should be up I can't tell you when But I can assure you that then You'd know what I feel now You'd feel what I know now.
It's crazy at the top You never know who the nice folks are Behind their smiles they're raging war The top's what they're all fighting for I am sorry, it had to happen this way The last thing I wanna say Is goodluck and I hope you don't have to pay The price that makes nothing worth it.
