Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Adjacent to the Main Building is the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
 Constructed over an 18-year period in the 1870s and 80s, the
basilica recently received a $17 million renovation that included
repair of the stained-glass, cleaning of the murals, regilding of the
gold leaf, and the addition of new sound and lighting systems. It
was designated a basilica in 1992 by Pope John Paul II.

I don't know anything about this altar other than it's the only thing like it I've ever seen!
This is one of two marble statues that are positioned in the wings of the church.
