Dr. Carmencita “Menchee” Quesada Fulgado, president of the University of the Philippines Alumni Association in America (UPAAA) announced that plans have been made to hold the association’s 1997 reunion and convention at the world renowned Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City on November 9-10 (Sunday - Monday), Veterans Weekend. The theme “THE UP SPIRIT - OUR COMMON BOND” will get graduates of the University of the Philippines together -- all years, all college, professional, sorority, fraternity, and state chapters gather for business, plenary and concurrent sessions, luncheon and gala dinner dance on the first day. The second day will have the “reunion programme” where chapters may meet as a group or present some entertainment numbers which will culminate with a special presentation by the UP ALUMNI AND FRIENDS RONDALLA of New Jersey.
“UP’s distinguished alumni have agreed to come and share their experiences and expertise to re-invigorate the UP Spirit into the 21st Century,” explained President Menchee Q. Fulgado.
