Letter to the Editor: The following is an edited excerpt from a letter written by Eusebio C. Kho, MD, PC In the UP Millennium 2008 Club, under the auspices of the Friends of the University of the Philippines Foundation in America, I pledged to donate $5,000.00 in the years 1997 to 2001. My regret is that I cannot give more at this time, because of financial constraints due to two children still in school. I have always preached the idea that we, alumni, should always give back to our Alma Mater, because without the education and nurture given by U.P., we cannot attain our present status. It is heartening to me that alumni are giving back to U.P. donations of varying amounts. In the total scheme of things, an ocean is made of drops of water. MORE POWER TO U.P.! Sincerely yours, |
