GIVING TO THE FRIENDS OF UP's CENTENNIAL GIFT CAMPAIGN

In 1996, the Friends of the University Foundation in America launched its campaign for a sizeable amount to be presented to the University at its Centennial Celebration in 2008. By giving to the "Friends", all donations pooled together to develop a gift of $4,500,00.00. This amount will be of such magnitude that will truly make a difference in the future of the University.

One can donate directly to the Philippines. However, if you are filing taxes in the United States, the giving donors will have to document the donation. If donations are made to the Friends of UP, it is as simple as writing a check. The Friends of UP is a 501(c)(3) organization under the rules of the IRS, hence a donation given to the Friends is tax deductible. The tax deduction is simply recorded by the Friends of UP and a letter of acknowledgement is sent; if donations exceed $250 a copy of the IRS letter of determination will also be sent.
