    Dr. Ruben D. Buñag, MA, M.D., is the recipient of the "Most Distinguished Overseas Alumnus" for 1997

    The U.P. Medical Alumni Society, Inc. presented the "Most Distinguished Overseas Alumnus" award to Dr. Ruben D. Buñag, MA, M.D.

    The University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Society in America (UPMASA) presented Dr. Buñag the award last December 1997 in Manila. He is recognized for his "outstanding work in Physiology and Pharmacology where he has distinguished himself as a teacher of undergraduate medical students, as an international lecturer, a researcher and extensively published author and for having established the Kansas University - UP Exchange Fellowship Program which has benefited the UP College of Medicine Faculty."
