| d. NSNA Awards Packages: i. Deadline for submission of NSNA activities awards applications is February 24, 2004. ii. Everyone is encouraged to submit an application for an award that pertains to their position. iii. Cindy Green, GLN Consultant, needs a committee to review the GANS website for errors and to make sure that all links work properly. There is no application for this award. A committee will review all websites. e. EKG: i. Articles to be included in the April 2004 issue must be submitted by March 15, 2004 for approval by Hospital America. Please submit articles via Dorothy Boles� yahoo account. ii. Included in this issue will be picture highlights from COSP, spotlight on NSNA candidates (Malisa Holmes), Resolutions Update (Pedus Eweama), Legislative Issues (Eric Gray), school chapter highlights (photo contest-deadline March 15), Presidential Address, Convention Updates, Community Service Information Corner, BTN Project, Golf Tournament Information, Chapter President Information, Bylaws (deadline 3/1). f. Nursing Students Day: i. NSNA has worked to have the mayors of cities proclaim May 8, 2004 to be Nursing Students Day. ii. Pedus Eweama will send information and applications to everyone. 11. Announcements: a. Noel Lawson sent flowers to LaFreda Murphy concerning her illness and to Kay Gatins concerning the death of her father-in-law. b. Noel encouraged each board member to set three goals to accomplish by the next meeting and one long term goal for October. c. Please remember to submit board reports by the Wednesday before each meeting. d. Pedus Eweama stated that since GANS pays for the board members to go to convention and focus sessions, each board member should try to go to them to learn more about his/her office and duties. e. GANS did pay for LaFreda Murphy to go the Mid Year Convention, however, since her resignation was due to illness she will not have to repay the money. 12.
