| A. It was moved and carried that the 2002 GANS convention theme be "Nurses: Only a Heartbeat Away". Submitted by: Marni Dodd. Seconded by: Brandi Dingler. Action: Carried. B. It was moved and carried that GANS pay for registration, hotel, and travel for Susie DeBruhl and Lisa Holbrook for NSNA Annual Convention in Philadelphia, PA in April 2002. Submitted by: Brandi Dingler. Seconded by: Marni Dodd. Action: Carried. |

| 6. Report of officers Each board member present gave an update of his/her activities and goals. 7. New Business |
| A. Ten schools were present today for COSP. The meeting was successful and turnout was larger than ever before. B. Ashley Green suggested the following community service projects: First Steps for Tean Mothers Help for Parents of Disabled Children C. Kelly Knox will check with Barbara to see who actually registered for GNA's Legislative Day in January. The GANS board will vote on reimbursing GANS at the next meeting. D. An update on activities in office should be submitted by each board member by March 2nd to be printed in the next issue of the EKG. E. Kelly Knox reminded all board members to submit board reports to her by Wednesday before scheduled board members. F. Laura Yoho suggested that medical supply companies be given a small advertisement in the convention booklet. The board will vote on this at the next meeting. The meeting closed with an overview of the contract between GANs and Country Suites Augusta Riverwalk presented by Laura Yoho. Laura agreed to resubmit the contract with changes made as discussed. |
