| GANS President, Kelly Knox, called the meeting to order at 12:30pm. |

| The workshops offered were divided between the board members so that each member could report what he/she learned from them. Elizabeth Hunnicutt brought information about the Editor's workshop that she attended yesterday morning. Kelly Knox discussed ideas from the State Presidents workshop including various ideas related to community service projects. Each GANS Board member will be responsible for turning in his/her short biography to Elizabeth Hunnicutt, EKG Editor, by November 17th. Suggestions were made regarding the following: GNA president writing in the EKG and the GANS President writing in the GNA Newsletter The 50th Annual NSNA Convention will take place in Philadelphia, PA on April 3rd-7th. Disaster training will be offered at this time for interested NSNA members. Kelly Knox encouraged board members to view the awards offered by NSNA on the website. These applications must be completed by mid-February. The next meeting after MidYear Convention will take place on November 17, 2001 at Inner Harbour Hospital in Douglasville, GA. Amanda Cline, Community Service Director, will be the contact person for this meeting. There will be a ropes course at 10:00am followed by a clothing drive and board meeting. All old board members will be encouraged to attend this meeting. Kelly Knox, President, adjourned the meeting at approximately 1:30pm. |
