I. The May board meeting was held at Inner Harbour Hospital. President Katie Orr called the meeting to order at 1220.

III. Opening Announcements
A) Legislative Director, Claudia Whitmore will fax a letter by Monday, May 21, 2001 to NSNA requesting a speaker (James Green or Nikki Battle) for our 2001 convention.
B) The district directors will mail various awards won by GANS members and chapters to their designated schools.
C) Legislative Director Claudia Whitmore will also be mailing out requests for speakers for the 2001 GANS Convention by the end of next week.

IV. 2001 GANS Convention
A prelimnary draft of the schedule for the 2001 GANS convention was created and is as follows:

Board members will arrive at convention site by five o�clock to finalize details and hold a meeting before convention begins.

V. Motions
1) A motion was passed to remove the 2nd VP, Wilson Bernales from his office due to personal reasons.
2) A motion was passed for Sarah Brawner, Alternate board member, to fill the position of 2nd VP.

The office of South District Director remains vacant.

VI. President Katie Orr Adjourned the meeting at 1505. The next meeting will take place at the Macon Medical Center at 1000 on June 16, 2001.
