| I. The June board meeting was held at Macon Medical Center. First Vice President Susie Goethe called the meeting to order at 1040. II. Role Call Present President- Katie Orr 1st VP- Susie Goethe 2nd VP- Sarah Brawner EKG Editor- Shelisa McCoy Community Service Director- Carmen Simmons BTN Director- Kelly Knox S District Director- Aimee Baker E District Director- Mandy Parnacott Consultants Present GLN Consultants- Cindy Green GNA Consultant- Carolyn Hickox Quorum Established III. Opening Announcements A) Trina Hennen will not be able to finish her term as NEC West. B) We discussed more possible candidates for speakers. C) Carmen Simmons will setup a day for the 2001-2002 board to do the ropes course at Inner Harbour. D) Kelly Knox will be responsible for getting t-shirts made for COSP and the GANS 2001 Convention. E) Aimee Baker will have a preliminary COSP packet ready by next board meeting. IV. 2001 GANS Convention A) Convention registration, hotel registration, and convention t-shirt forms will be available in the next issue of the EKG. B) There will be space available for schools to fundraise at GANS 2001 Convention. C) A call for resolutions will also be available in the next issue of the EKG. D) Nikki Battle will be our representative bringing greetings from NSNA. E) James Green will be speaking on editing at the GANS 2001 Convention. F) The board reviewed and made a few changes to the current Convention schedule. V. Motions 1) A motion was passed to change the location and date of the next Counsel of School Presidents (COSP) event to take place on August 25, 2001 in Macon GA from 1100-1500. The offices of NEC South and NEC West are vacant. VI. President Katie Orr adjourned the meeting at _____. The next meeting will take place at the Macon Medical Center at 1000 on July 14, 2001. |
