Former President, Jason Ellis, brought information regarding a license plate project for registered nurses.  He described the general layout for the license plate, which consists of 6 numbers and the letters RN.  The title "Registered Nurse" would be printed at the bottom of the plate.  This plate was to be presented to the legislature during the upcoming week.  An allotted amount of money would be placed in the GNF fiscal fund.  The Foundation would then give all the money back to nursing students in the form of scholarship.  The plate may be available as soon as 2002.  There is no initial cost for GANS.

Next, Jason stressed the importance of supporting Georgia candidates running for national office.  He initiated social functions two years prior to allow NSNA convention attendees to get to know the Georgia candidates.  He requested that these functions be implemented once again to show our state support for the candidates.

Finally, Jason shared his personal experience regarding the board examination.  He wanted to stress the importance of studying for both personal benefit and the promotion of school records.
