that do not fit.
B)    In order to make sure GANS is well represented, all information must be submitted to the board and found appropriate before distribution.  If information needs to be mailed, it should be given to Secretary Hayley Foster first. She will then print the information on GANS letterhead and see it gets mailed appropriately.
IV. GANS Convention 2001
1st VP Susie Goethe requested a set budget in order to proceed with finalizing details for the fall 2001 convention.  It was decided that each individual convention committee would send information to Susie regarding the desired funds. She will present this information to Treasurer Yetta Ingram-Canty at the May board meeting.

Ideally, the registration desk will be manned be a predetermined set of four people, who will get free boarding in exchange for their services. The board felt it reasonable to pay for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights for the registration team.

The survivor challenge games are an attempt to promote comradery between schools.   In order to facilitate this, those interested in participating in the games will put their names on a general sign up sheet.  The board will then divide those people into teams.

Focus sessions will be divided into broad subjects, such as humor, and specialties, such as nurse anesthetist.  This should provide a variety of subjects so that all attendees will be interested in some topic.

The NCLEX review session may be presented at breakfast from 0700 to 0900 on Thursday and Friday.

A legislative session will be conducted over lunch to promote attendance. The board members were challenged to try to find a sponsor for this event.

A motion was made to design flyers regarding the GANS convention to be passed out at the GA caucus.  The board agreed and decided for funds not to exceed $30.

Secretary Hayley Foster will be sending a letter to schools inquiring about any desired bylaw changes or resolutions.

The tentative schedule of events is as follows:
    Wednesday: board meeting (mandatory)
Thursday: opening ceremonies with the keynote speaker and the parade of schools in attendance
Friday: survivor games on the beach
Saturday: awards dinner with the endnote speaker presenting before the awards
Sunday: pass down materials of current members to new board members
V NSNA Convention
The times and meeting places for the GA caucuses were finalized.  Both caucuses would be held in room Lincoln C on Friday, April 6, 2001.  The caucus times are 1330 to 1430 and 2230 to 2400.  The meetings were to inform the state constituent chapters of upcoming events.  It also allowed the state to arrive at a consensus about which candidates to support.
