About Me...

I've been revising this page a little...it doesn't look like much changed, but if you put your mouse over the titles, you'll notice that they're links, not just titles now. I'm still working on the separate pages, so there won't be much there if you click on it, but yeah...:-p By the way, this stuff is just a brief sketch. If you want to know more, you'll have to ask me!

Beginnings

Well, I guess I should start at the beginning...I was born in Chia-Yi, Taiwan, and I spent the first 8 years of my childhood there. I don't remember much about it, though, so I can't tell you anything...The summer after second grade, I moved to the US with my family, and started the third grade at the nearby elementary school. From there, I went on to junior high and high school, and now I am a student at UC Berkeley.

Hobbies

In my spare time, I like to go out, watch movies, have fun with friends, and sometimes, stay at home and just relax.

I like watching stars, but I'm not very serious about it. I got the name "star gazer" from a friend, because I used to go out at night with a friend and look at the night sky during meteor showers. I also recognized some constellations sometimes when we were out...like cassiopeia, orion, etc...the more common ones.

I used to read a lot of books, too. I read almost every category, as long as it's fiction, you name it...sci fi, classics, historical fiction, fantasy, adventure, thriller, mystery, etc, etc...even an autobiography once. I haven't had much time to read recreationally since I started college, though. Here are some books that I've read: The Andromeda Strain, Great Expectations, several books of Issac Asimov's Foundation Series, Brave New World, Stranger in a Strange Land, etc, etc...By the way, these are all books that I would recommend, if you ever feel like reading...=)

I play the piano. Not very well, but well enough to play some simple pieces...I don't know that much about classical music, though. Just a few of the major composers and the periods. If you played a piece and asked me what it was, even if it's really famous, like Path�tique, I would have no idea :-p

I'm a big computer person. The fact that I have an active homepage that I actually update should attest for that. About two or three summers ago, I took a typing class that had us do some sort of html thing at the end, but I remember nothing from that. I've only recently begun to pick up some html code. That's why I don't have too much creative stuff on here, like moving words.

Religion

I am currently not affiliated with any religion...that is to say, I'm agnostic. I have yet to decide what I wish to believe in, and although I'm trying do decide, I'd appreciate it if you don't start preaching at me. I've had enough of that to last me a lifetime, thank you...If I want to know about your religion, I will ask. There is no need to volunteer unwanted information. I'm sorry if I'm being harsh, but the truth is, I've heard it many times, and once more is not going to convince me, unless I want to be convinced. In which case, I will ask.

General Stuff

Okay, well, couldn't think of anything else to put, so this will just be stuff about what I'm like and all that (although you could probably tell from what I've said). For those of you who are interested in this stuff, I'm a cancer and I was born in the year of the rooster.

My personality...well, I used to be really really shy, and I guess I still am in a way. I'm not very talkative, most of the time. Hmm...what else can I say? I think most of this stuff, you sort of have to find out for yourself...That is, unless you believe in that astrological stuff...In that case, you probably think you know my personality already..=) [I have to admit, some of that stuff is pretty accurate, but some of it is completely untrue for me...For example, I think I'm supposed to be artistic or something according to my sign...but I'm not...at least, i don't think i am...] Oh, yeah...almost forgot...I'm a huge procrastinator. I should really be finishing my lab report right now, and see what I'm doing...=) Well, I'd better not procrastinate any more, so that's it for now. I'll add more later...
