What's Going On In NY

In the past year concerned student in NY public colleges have watched California very closely. Watching what occurred with Proposition 209 they took initiative and rallied in NY Universities and Colleges.
Slowly the tuition hikes and the loss of financial aid have worried lower class New Yorkers that Tuition may become too high for themselves and their children.
As a result many efforts have taken place to save tuition through programs such as Educational Opportunity Program at State University of New York Save EOP and other programs. They exist so that Government aid and state aid is not cut off.
Slowly students are losing financial aid through Tuition Assistant Program of New York (TAP), Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA)
