These are the other Guide Dog Puppies I have raised

Jessa was raised 8/89-9/90, she is a career change, dropped for bad hips. Jessa lives with my parents, and this is a pic of her working as a pet therapy dog at their local childnren's hospital.

Chotah was raised 9/90-11/91. She is Jessa's half-sister and was also dropped due to dysplastic hips. She currently lives with family friends.

Harvard, who I raised 12/91-1/93, graduated as a working guide on June 15, 1993. This is Harvard and his patner, Bob. Harvard is now retired and Bob is awaiting his second guide dog.

This is Lindsay, who I raised 2/14/93-5/94 Lindsay was dropped from the porgram because of her inability to adjust to guide work. She is currently living the "good life" as a spoiled pet of famil y friends.

Geogie was my final puppy before leaving for college. She was raised 5/94-8/95. Georgie was also dropped for having hip dysplasia. She now lives with me and Pele in Davis, California.

Puppies in this program do not always graduate, as can be seen from my previous dogs.. They are called Career Change Dogs and fulfill many different roles in their lives. Some are there simply to be loved and to love their owners, while others turn to help others through pet therapy, like Jessa, or one of many other animal professions. Still others fulfill a very important role, like the one Georgie is now in. Georgie is helping to raise other guide dog puppies, in hopes that they will one day become the working guide she could not be.

This is (left to right) me, Georgie, her sister Gina and Gina's raiser Kim. These pups were raised together in Fresno county. Gina is also a career change dog.

This is Georgie in January 1998, enjoying her current life as a pet, puppy raiser, love and bed warmer!
