Welcome to my page about my hometown! Paris is really small, so there's not a whole lot to say, but it's kinda a nice place. I never noticed that until I moved away, but sometimes I just wish I were back in the quiet intstead of such a big city as Nashville...every once in a while. ;)
Paris is, as I said, a really small city. The population is approximately 8,000-something (I think)...it might have increased to closer to 9,000 by now. I discovered today, to my surprise, that the city of Paris actually has a homepage! Wow, we're moving up in the world! If you are interested in viewing this page, you can find it here. Paris is about 20 minutes from Lexington, KY, which *everyone* knows is the home of the University of Kentucky Wildcats! Woohoo! NCAA Champs!
Ah! Well, I feel better now. Now, back to my original idea...you might have noticed I have apparently done this page in Halloween colors...but not so. Orange and black (and white) are the school colors of my old high school, Paris High, which has a homepage here. So, you see, there really is a legitimate reason for me using these colors!
I was a member of the marching and concert band at Paris for 5 years (8th graders are in the HS band) and I loved it. I miss it a lot, but I also do not regret the fact that I had to leave because I love Vanderbilt. :)
