Ode To Jul’nar

An ode I sing to you,
One that only you can hear,
A song that needs not words,
Only feelings that words betray.

Yet as this world goes by,
One where you are in my hands,
A wandering star that is no more,
Now that you have ground to stand.

My ground is henceforth,
More bright thanks to you,
For darkness now is no more,
'Cause we have both been found.

Begone all the hurt,
That we have both endured,
Yet if it wasn't for that,
We would have never been saved.

So take up my arms,
And give me your love,
For I have nothing but love to give,
And I don't want anything else.

Together thus we'll stand this ground,
Together we can face the storm,
Hence we can keep our heads held high,
For true love endures all.

My Duty

There is a land of wonder,
A land that is to be found,
When love is in the air,
A sight most profound.

And as this land approaches,
Much effort is made,
To comprehend it's beauty,
While accepting ones fate.

Thus this fate demands me,
To give myself to you,
For it is my happy duty,
To always love you!

Compared

As the sun rises in the morn,
And as it sets at dusk,
Hence the days come and go,
Closer I come to you.

The moon comes and goes,
Changes as it does on it's way,
Never really knowing what it will do next,
Or what it will see below.

Thus as we go though life,
Exploring the journey ahead,
You are to me like the sun and the moon,
Ever set but forever changing.

Hence I see you there,
Shining like the sun,
But on a journey like the moon,
Like Athena in the sky.

Yet to me there is only one thing,
You're not the sun or the moon,
Nor are you the great Athena,
For you to me are more.

More are you in my eyes,
For they see only you,
Because nothing compares,
Nothing compares to you!

On my knees

I kneel here before thee,
My eyes slightly wet,
The heart within me pounding,
My life within your arms.

I do thus request you,
To take good judgement here,
In answering my life's question,
About the future for me and you.

I ask you in knowing,
How much I love and care,
This woman standing before me,
A goddess revealed to me here.

I asked that you marry me,
In words that can never express,
The deep love I have for you,
That will never rest.

Missing You.

From a far distance I look,
Forward out to sea,
Searching for a land beyond,
That which my heart can see.

But listening to your voice,
And reading your fond words,
I can only sit in wonder,
Of what we can become.

This that has occurred,
A creature known as We,
For when you aren't here,
The world looks so glum.

Then the shadows do arrive,
As memories struggle to survive,
My heart thus aches in silence,
Missing that better half.

I can deal with this world of hurt,
One which only knows pain,
But with you not being here,
So sets in the rain.

Yet hence I will try,
With all my strength and might,
To remember you in my heart,
Instead of my weak head.

For it is in the centre of my heart,
It is there where you dwell,
Though even I do miss you,
You are always home.

Consumed

I have read and heard,
That the Earth will be consumed,
This our science has proved,
Likewise has Hell thus confirmed,
That flame will devour us all.

Yet I cannot just sit here,
While reading of the final flames,
Without knowing there is time for us,
We who upon this mortal coil,
Who love each other beyond the call.

It is that feeling that we embrace,
And it is not a thing to endure,
Even though it is true,
A special thing we carry,
Onward into battle thus we go.

Onward thus we go,
Into a world that doesn’t care,
A world that has forgotten,
What riches we few do share,
A world lost for Hell’s sodden.

For those stories that I’ve heard,
The ones from Hell itself,
Will hence come true for many,
True to those of this Earth,
Who speak not the unspoken word.

The word however is for me spoken,
And it is always true,
A feeling deep within me,
Yet it can never be honestly said,
Except between me and you.

It is of a tongue never forgotten,
It is one that can never be shared,
A language that has more power than words,
One that can never be wronged,
Never wronged but always free.

And let us not forget,
Those words that can’t be spoken,
Feeling that they are deep within,
Yet commanding me to simply say,
I truly love thee.

Destiny

There is a time and place for death,
Likewise the same for birth,
And through these two events,
We all must undergo.

Now I have heard it said from angels,
This too has been confirmed by demons,
That life’s journey is not an easy one,
As they watch us in this play.

For life is on a stage,
Like puppets we act it out,
There are times of tragedy,
While ones of purer joy.

It is for me I must say,
A journey that has been long,
Searching though this life,
Of one that won’t be wrong.

And onward thus we go,
Finding out about this world,
When one day you reach a point,
That is your destiny.

I have travelled to many places,
I have seen many things,
Yet this world seems so distant,
When I simply think of you.

And though I look at the stars,
Upon the millions there in awe,
I still can see your light,
As you stand right here with me.

A wonder that’s so pronounced,
A beauty that can’t be shared,
'Tis not simply I love thee,
It's something I can’t compare.

So here I stand with thee,
As we take these lifetime vows,
Knowing that you’ll always be,
My love forever with me.
