A  MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN
Terry and I met our senior year at George P. Butler High School.  He was the "new kid" in school, which is one reason why I found him to be someone to pursue.  All the other guys in my senior class were the typical immature jocks, either being too afraid to approach a woman like myself or being the type of guy that only wanted one kind girl with which to spend his time.  After talking as classmates for a short time, we realized there was a real attraction the two of us shared.  There was something about my sweetie that truly sparked my interest...something that set him apart from all the rest.
Our first date was on November 7, 1997.  We went to Olive Garden for dinner and then to the Augusta Riverwalk afterwards for a walk in a light misty rain.  Once we found a secluded bench to sit on, we talked and talked until we were unable to bare the cold.  One thing that I'll never forget about that night was the poem that Terry wrote and read, which I still cherish to this day!
