Student Congress 2000

The 8 students representing Central High School for the 34th Annual MIFA Sponsored Student Congress were:  (Back row left to right) Trisha Smrecak, Sara Pike, Danielle Swiecicki, and Nick Madaj.  (Front row left to right) Analisa Mackie, Katie Lombardo, Casey Eldridge, and Christopher Cunningham.  This year we were in Lansing from September 21-23, 2000.

This year we had a majority of our participants in the House of Representatives. Those members are Casey Eldridge (left), Christopher Cunningham (right), Danielle Swiecicki, Trisha Smrecak, and Nick Madaj, (below) whom this year was elected Speaker of the House and presided over 110 other high school representatives in the House. Nick was also awarded with an engraved gavel for his duties as the Speaker of the House. Everyone did a great job!
