How to Join the Xi Nu Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta

There are two kinds of membership: associate and active.

In order to join CSUB's chapter as an active member, you must have:

completed at least 5 quarters of college work and
must have a GPA of a B or above in the English major.

To join CSUB's chapter as an associtae member, you must have:

completed at least 5 quarters of college work and
must have a GPA of a B or above in the English courses you have taken.

If you meet the requirements, you may fill out the on-line the application and submit it to Sigma Tau Delta' President. Or you can pick up an application form from Dr. Andrew Troup (FT203F), Monica Ayuso (FT102A), or the English Department's secretary, Sabine Westmoreland (FT202A).

An admissions committee will review your application. If they accept your application, you will be invited to join. The first time membership fee is $35, part of which pays the national dues and the rest is placed into a scholarship fund for deserving students. The yearly renewal fee is $10.
