TOASTY OAT CRACKERS
1 C Oat Flour
2/3 C all-purpose flour
1/3 C wheat germ
I T sugar
1 T sesame seed (optional)
1 t salt, seasoned salt or garlic salt
1/4 C butter or margarine
Combine flours, wheat germ, sugar, sesame seeds (if
desired),
and salt. Cut in butter till mixture resembles coarse
crumbs.
Mix in 1/2 cup water till dry ingredients are moistened.
Shape
dough into a 9 x 1-1/2 inch log. Wrap and chill
several hours.
Slice 1/8 inch thick; place on ungreased baking
sheet. Flatten
till very thin with tines of fork. Bake at 375 degrees
for 12
minutes or till edges brown. Cool on rack. Makes
6 dozen
OAT FLOUR
Place 1-1/2 cups Quick-cooking or rolled oats in
a blender
container or food processor. Cover.
Process 60 seconds or till evenly ground. Makes 1 cup.
