2 Cups whole wheat flour
2 tsp salt
1 pkg dry yeast
2 Cups hot water (110 degrees)
1 Tbs sugar
3-4 Cups flour
Stir together 2 cups flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add hot water; stir until well blended, cover with plastic, then a towel. Let rise (preferably at 70 degrees) until bubbly and double in bulk. Stir down; work in another 3-4 cups of flour, then knead vigorously for about 5 minutes.
Put dough in clean 4 qt straight sided mixing bowl; let rise to triple
in volume; carefully deflate; let rise again to double in bulk, then deflate.
Cut into pieces, roll out in small circles and bake on ungreased cookie
sheet for 6-8 minutes at 500 degrees, then place under broiler to brown
slightly.
