STARLIGHT DOUBLE DELIGHT CAKE

                                 Chocolate Frosting

    Cream:
    6 oz cream cheese
    1/2 cup shortening
    1/2 t vanilla and 1/2 t mint flavoring
    Blend well.

    Add: 6 c sifted powdered sugar alternately with 1/4 c
    hot water to cream cheese mixture.

    Blend in: 4 squares melted unsweetened chocolate

                                   Chocolate Cake

    Sift together:
    2-1/4 c sifted flour
    1-1/2 t soda and
    t salt.    Set aside.
    Combine:
    1/4 c shortening and 2 c of the chocolate frosting; mix
    thoroughly.
    Blend in:
    3 unbeaten eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
    Add the dry ingredients alternately with 3/4 cup milk,
    beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Pour into 2 -
    9" round layer pans, well greased and lightly floured on
    the bottoms. Bake in moderate oven (350) 30-40 minutes.
    Cool; frost with remaining frosting (thin with a few
