2-1/4 C all-purpose flour
1 C shortening
3/4 C sugar
1 egg
1/4 t baking powder
1 t vanilla
1/2 t salt
Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a bowl. Cut in
shortening. Measure the egg in a measuring cup. A large egg will measure
1/4 cup. If it does not, add water to the 1/4 cup line. Add the egg and
vanilla and beat mixture very well., Put through cooky press on ungreased
aluminum cooky sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Remove cookies
from sheet at once.
Notes Nancy thinks the camels taste the best.
