PRUNE CAKE

1-1/2 C sugar
1 C oil
3 eggs
1 t soda
1 t allspice
2 C flour
1 C buttermilk
1 t vanilla
1 C cooked prunes (pitted and halved)

Cream sugar, oil and eggs. Sift dry ingredients together and mix alternately with buttermilk and vanilla. Fold in prunes. Bake in 2 greased and lined (wax paper) loaf pans 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
