Crust:
1/3 pkg butter or yellow cake mix
1/2 c melted oleo
1 egg
Mix until crumbly. Press in greased 13x9" baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees until golden brown, about 15-20 minutes.
Filling:
2/3 pkg reserved cake mix
1/2 c firmly packed brown sugar
1-1/2 c dark corn syrup
1 t vanilla
3 eggs
Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl. Beat at medium speed 2 minutes. Pour over partially baked crust.
Topping: 1 c chopped nuts. Sprinkle over filling. Return to oven; bake 30-35 minutes until filling is set. Cool. Cut into bars.
