Makes 2 doz. butter cookies in molds.
1-1/2 c sifted Cake flour
1 egg yolk
1/2 c butter or margarine
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 c sifted powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Place all ingredients in mixing bowl and mix until a putty like consistency is obtained. When putty dough consistency is realized, remove dough from mixer. Cut in string into 24 equal size pieces. Place one piece in each depression of cookie mold, then with your fingers pat the dough to evenly fill the depressions.
If desired, the tops of the cookies may be brushed very lightly with milk water or milk, then sprinkle candy dragees or decorettes over tops of cookies pior to baking or otherwise decorate as desired.
Preheat oven to 350 to 365 degrees. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges of cookies begin to brown. Cool thoroughly, remove from pan. (Molds can be obtained from Walter Drake and sons, 75 Drake Bldg, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80940 for about $3
