ICE BOX COOKIES #1

2 c brown sugar
1 t cream of tartar,
1 c oleo
1 c chopped nuts
2 eggs
4 c flour
1 t soda
1 t vanilla

Cream butter, sugar and eggs; add nuts. Mix well; add flour, soda and cream of tartar, which have been sifted together; add vanilla. Make into long rolls and place in refrigerator. Slice and bake as needed.
