FRENCH BREAD

2 C flour
2 pkg yeast
1 T sugar
1 T salt
1/3 C Crisco
2-1/2 C hot water

Beat yeast, water, sugar, salt and Crisco for 2 minutes at medium speed. Add 1 C flour. Beat for 1 minute at high speed. Add enough flour for dough to leave side of bowl. Rest 20 minutes. Shape. Bake at 350 degrees. Yield: 2 loaves
