EASY DILL PICKLES

1/4 t alum
1 head dill
1/4 c salt
1 clove garlic
1 c vinegar
3 c water

Wash cucumbers. Place in quart Jar. Put alum, dill, garlic in jar. Combine vinegar, salt and water. Boil; pour over pickles. Process 5 minutes in boiling water bath. Turn upside down.
