True Danger
I watch him;
he watches me.
We don't trust each other.
I'm bigger and stronger;
he has a sting.
We're dangerous.
He moves quickly;
he thinks I am an enemy.
I must show caution.
His quickness can be watched;
his sting can be avoided.
He's not dangerous.
My strength and size
can be countered.
I'm not dangerous.
Your sting hits my heart
with an invisible quickness
that makes strength and caution useless.
You're not an enemy.
You're dangerous--
because I trust you.
