It's been so long."

"That's great.
Are the two of you still together?"
(What's the point in asking?)
"Really?
I hope things work out?"
(He's such a jerk)
"That's true,
nobody's perfect."
(But you're much closer than he is)
"Yes, guys that listen
ARE hard to find."
(I'm right HERE!)
"You have to do
what makes you happy."
(How are you happy?)
"It's been nice
seeing you."
(Why do I torture myself?)
"Hope to see you soon.
I'll miss you."
(I'll miss you...)
"Bye"
(I guess I'm just
an emotional masochist)
