Another update...it's a good sign, I guess.
It now appears that I am not only TAing a stats class, but I will probably be teaching it solo for the summer session.
Me, a few dedicated students (I hope), eight weeks, and a whole lot of statistics and design.
Jorie (my fiance) and I had our first wedding shower this past weekend in Chicago. I'm really glad that I went. I met a few more family members and a lot of family friends. In addition to the fun, we also got a lot of cool stuff. Why should the bride be the only one that gets to open presents?
We still have two more showers to go. One in Carbondale and one in Tennessee with my family. Good times, good times...
I am also in the application process for being the career intervention administrator of University 101 next year. This will also be a great experience if I get it.
Finally, Jorie and I have ordered our wedding bands and signed a lease for half of a duplex for next year. It is really exciting. It will be completed about 1 month before we move in, so we will be the first people to ever live in it. It has a fireplace, a garage (1 car), and a lake view. Housewarming parties will definitely be in order.
