Captured July 3, 1863 Gettysburg Penn. POW at Johnson's Island, Ohio till 1865. Died July 17, 1887. Forsyth Co. Ga. Buried in the Foster, Estes Reid Family Cemetery, Just off Ga Hgw 9 inside Cumming City Limits. The cemetery was on the family farm but now is located behind Pruetts Furniture Store. In the back parking lot.
Also buried in this same cemetery. Pvt Henderson Estes of Co A 2nd Regiment of the Ga. State Lines Guard. Forsyth Co. ( They were brother inlaws.)
