The Jackal's View in General
My general world view? Well, I am not as well travelled or as well spoken as
Erin Tarin, but I get around so I'll give it a try.
The world, as I see it, is in shambles. Very little was left for the survivors of the
great war. Even now, over 300 years later, most are still trying to recover from the
aftermath. There are some notable exceptions. Countries like the Coalition States
and the New German Republic have done very well for their citizens.
They have done well despite the many challenges that face them. Numerous ley
lines run across the entire surface of the earth. These mystical lines of energy
breed many attrocities. The most noteworthy being that it has allowed many
strange and dangerous creatures into our world. Believe me when I say that anyone,
including myself, who travels outside safe areas takes his life into his hands.
These ley lines have also brought about a new age of magic. Magic now affects
nearly every aspect of life on earth. In most cases, either you live in an
area that accepts and uses magic, or your government is dedicated to wiping it
from the face of the planet. Personally, I don't care whether or not people
use magic arround me. For people that use it wisely, it is just another tool.
