This project proposes to indicate
the clash (between nature and artificiality, environment and
pollution, people and power) that has continued in Minamata,
notorious for its mercurial pollution, as the stage. The collision
between the circle and the wedge symbolizes this clash. The Minamata
people have such a powerful spirit that they can face reality and
confront the clash. Here, their spirit, which believes in hope, is
emerging to the world. (It's a group work with Tomohiko Kiyokawa and
Storu Yamaguchi.)
