WHAT DOES SCIENCE MEAN?

Science is an attempt to explain the unknown. Scientific exploration deals with any enigma confronting human knowledge. The enigma may be a life-or-death dilemma or a seemingly minor question with no impact on survival. Regardless of the apparent value of solving the unknown the scientist must approach research from a perspective of objective discipline. This discipline requires the scientist to rise above subjective influences.

The scientist must be a skeptic by nature and serve as a devil's advocate at each step of research. Science requires that a researcher fully understand the problem before establishing a hypothesis or a research procedure. Ultimately science is a controlled effort to seek truth and add to the knowledge base shared by mankind.
