Welp, I came down with a really nasty sore throat on my birthday, June 3rd, and thought nothing of it. Got some pills. Took 'em for four days. Felt worse. This tipped me off that there may be something wrong. So I went back to the doctor and she did a monospot. Sadly, it came back positive (click here to see what i looked like). Mono is actually the inspiration for my web page. I couldn't work (I have two jobs that are kind enough to hold out for me), so I occupied my time elsewhere, namely the internet.

And now I'd like to inform all of you out there that I am officially over mono. Well not "officially" but I do feel tons better. I even worked a 50 hour week recently. Not too shabby for a sickie :) Even though I feel better, my mom still has herself conviced that I am incapable of rollerblading.

You see, my spleen might rupture......or I might win the lottery, the chances are about equal. :)
