Read Aloud-
The purpose of this project is to enhance the knowledge of prominent African Americans, past and present for Elementary school children.
Adopt A Family-
This program is designed to help children who are less fortunate than other have a good Christmas. The chapter is given one family and supplies gifts for all of the children within a household.
Holbrook Nursing Home-
This purpose of this project is to give back to those people who paved the way for the many people who came after them. In October Sigma Chi gave the Seniors a halloween party. At the party we played games with them and gave them pumpkins that we carved.
Christmas Toystore-
This purpose of this project is to assist less fortunate families in buying Christmas gifts for their children at lower prices. The First United Methodist church cooks dinners and host a dinner where people pay per plate to eat. Sigma Chi serves the dinners and all of the money that is raised goes to buys toys and clothing for families and selling them at a lower cost.
Bridges to Asia-
This project is designed to help educate students outside of the United States. Sigma Chi and the Bonner Scholars collect old books and syllabi and send them to Asia.
Show love Week-
One week in a selected month Sigma Chi makes love grams for the students to show love and appreciation to their friends and family for no cost. We believe that there are so many people who are appreciated in our life and by any means necessary we should tell them.
Other projects-
Special Olympics, Childrens Festival, Miss Wesleyan Pageant, Celebration of Service, Habitat for Humanity and GED tutoring.
