I knew it, just when we were getting started we pull up a crap result against the Dons'.
Wenger said that the team were totally concentrating on this games and not on the next CL match, I hope that isn't the case. Anelka scored after 35 minutes and Howells got the equaliser mid-way through the second half. Apparently we missed loads of chances as norm and Anelka was apparently to blame for several of them, again!!! Tho' we can't constantly blame him, he's ahad a hard week!!!. There will be games like this from time to time and we must accept it.
Parlour played, altho' Petit and Freddy Ljungberg didn`t, which could be used to a good excuse!!! Not the kind of confidence boosting result before an important Champions League game, but hopefully the return of Petit on Wednesday may help to put this result behind us. On the other hand we will be without Vieira and Ljungberg as he is ineligable.
Other happenings in the first half of the game, Overmars got booked for diving.
The second half started as the first but after fifteen minutes or so we slowed down somewhat as is to tempt fate. Le Tissier came on as a sub, and consequently seized on Overmars' mistake and sets up equaliser for Howells, X-spurs scum!!! Overall we really should have won (again!!!) and if it wasn't for Jones who had a blinder in goal for Southampton.
