But Double Deuce is located in Boston
Tenants complain, everyday it's the same
Harassed by none other than the local gang
The Double Deuce gang is better known as the Raiders
They like to think "No one can fade us"
Now, some gangs are tough and others hang loose
But it's the trouble makin' gang livin' in Double Deuce
I'm not Snow but I've just informed you
Of the background info you'll need to know to
Understand this Double Deuce story
Very entertaining and definitely not boring

Verse 1:
Now, I'mma start the story, the lecture at hand
Listen closely, pay attention, and you will understand
Devona went out for a walk one day
With Crystal, her three-month-old baby
They were walkin' through the hood where Double Deuce is
Not makin' trouble, just mindin' their biz
A van pulled up when they were at a dead end
Then someone asked, "Are you Tallboy's girlfriend?"
Frozen with fear, she was afraid to say yes
But that answer was the attacker's best guess
Devona was the lady that who they were lookin' for
Out came a gun from the driver's side door
Pop, pop and ten more shots came
Some through her body and some through her brain
Crystal was also shot a few times
Both lie dead from this awful crime
Blood everywhere all over the ground
It's a shame the way this thing went down
Devona was only 14 years old
A whole life ahead of her remains untold

Crystal and Devona lie six feet under
Two detectives are hired to investigate the murder
Their names are Hawk and Spencer, they're not weak
They know all about life on the street
They search the area of Double Deuce
Check it out, it's the two funky double sleuths
They think that the Raiders must be responsible
For the murders of Devona and of Crystal
So Hawk and Spencer stayed near Double Deuce
They decided to remain until some action ensued
No sooner than they decided to do this
They had a run-in with the Raiders and the Raiders got dissed
They ran into the Raiders many other times
They were sure that the Raiders had committed the crime
But they had no proof to do them in
So they couldn't arrest 'em and throw 'em in the "pen"
What to do now, no one knew
Hawk was the only one who had a clue

Verse 3:
Hawk had another suspect in mind
Tony Marcus is his name but he's hard to find
Marcus is a gangsta, and old gangbanger
Used to cause trouble with his bad behavior
He had been quiet for awhile though
And his rep among the gangs could not grow
So to boost back up his popularity
Marcus, as Hawk thought, killed the two ladies
Marcus thought that he could never get caught
Cuz he set up the Raiders with the perfect plot
But Hawk was on his trail and with his connections
Hawk found Marcus and asked him some questions
Within no time Marcus had confessed
To killin' the two girls and startin' this mess
He confessed this all, knowin' that Hawk
Couldn't do a thing, cuz he wasn't a cop
Just then Hawk slowly opened his vest
Revealing a wire runnin' down his chest
Hawk came through again without fail
And Tony Marcus was sent to jail
The moral is: Don't get involved with a gang
Cuz they ain't nuthin' but a G thang
Gang violence needs to stop, we need a peace treaty
Or else, in the end, we'll all be history
