This was my first amazing experience in Utila:

I was out on the boat one day taking pictures of divers for a website. While the divers were in the water, I went snorkeling along the reef. A few minutes had passed when my boat captain (who is usually napping) whistles to get my attention and tells me to get on the boat right away.

I get on and he tells me that he spotted some dolphins. So he starts the motor and we headed to meet the dolphins. As we approached, he slows down and before we knew it, the dolphins were swimming right along side the boat's hull. It was very cool!!

Then I grabbed my snorkel gear and gently went into the water. The dolphins were right below me and I could hear their whistles and clicks from underwater. It was a very neat sensation; so much so that I can't even descibe it in words. I feel lucky to have experienced such a moment with nature. (Sorry for being so lame!)
