Joseph's Chillin' Out in Montezuma

My volcano adventures were both disappointing. I couldn't see either of the craters. Clouds were to blame in both cases. I was feeling kind of down. So guess what? BEACH TIME!!

Montezuma is a small little beach town nicknamed "gringolandia" (land of the white folk). And yes, there was a lot of white tourists around (both American and Canadian). The name "hippie-land" would have also been appropriate as I saw lots of them around. There is one important thing that I noticed also, THERE WERE A TON OF BABES. I mean TONS!!! They seemed to hang around in groups of 4-6 and most of the time they wore bikinis. There were white girls, Ticas, Argentinians, and others. But no matter where they were from, THEY WERE ALL HOT!!! I was in girl watching heaven. This is THE place to go for you guys out there.

LEFT: Getting over to the Nicoya Peninsula involved hopping on a ferry from Puntarenas. Seabirds would follow the ferry all the way across while people threw them food. One of those islands in this picture is a biological reserve. BELOW: Montezuma Beach, one of the nicest beaches around. I even saw a chick sunbathing topless! I was careful not to think of any dirty thoughts since my beach shorts were quite loose and didn't want to be like Ben Stiller in "Flirting with Disaster".

See that palm tree sticking out? After I got home to Panama, I saw an episode of Lonely Planet: Costa Rica where people were intereviewed right under it. When I saw it, I said, "Hey, I was just there last week!".
