Live the Life with Emotions
Experience the ride of life - the rollercoaster of feelings.
Be overwhelmed, bewildered, astounded.
Learn to love, appreciate and relate to others.
Deal with fear, anger, jealousy, depression, consequences and failure.
Overcome tiredness, stress, boredom and pain.
Make peace; Dispell hatred; Show kindness;
Justify you beliefs; Take a challenge; Make a change.
Persevere thru hardships; Celebrate achievements.
Know your boundaries and limits; Set goals and waypoints.
Work hard but take time out.
Each day, set goals to achieve in relationships, work, hobbies ensuring that all of them are accountable to God - our Creator and Father.
God has given us emotions to give us interesting lives.
What would life be without changes in mood? But, do not allow emotions or feelings to run your life.
Pursuit of one emotion is never satisfying. It's like chasing after a sunny day. The feelings will change as does the weather. Be content with the desirables and undesirables as they both add colour to life.
Live the Life with Emotions BUT DO NOT Live the Emotions with Life!
Bibleverse (May '99)
We humans strive for a common goal.
A goal of happiness, fulfillment and satisfaction.
A goal of self-discovery and self-improvement.
A goal to achieve significance and importance.
In this quest of life, we dream vivid images of years to come.
A time when everything will be picture perfect.
A time when all our hopes, wants and desires will
bubble to the surface like a refreshing spring in
the desert, which brings forth colour and life
amongst the harsh, barren emptiness which
accompanies hardships, shattered dreams,
death and loss.
So we persevere and work endlessly digging in areas where we believe a
spring may bubble forth.
Traversing pain, stress, and suffering,
Digging in areas of careers, friendships and contacts,
Using our tools of intellect, charm and influence.
Sometimes we dig in the wrong areas - blunting out the tools of the trade.
Sometimes we dig in areas which a trickle of water flows
Some keep digging hoping to form a well.
Some stop digging believing they've found the eternal spring
Some take a respite, replenishing their stores before
heading off back into the desert sure that there is a
larger spring in the horizon.
What would you do in this situation?
- do you persevere with your digging hoping the trickle
of water will become a fountain?
- do you lose heart believing that your ideals and
expectations were too high?
- do you rest a while to gather strength before
re-embarking on your goal which may be found in
another area?
Decisions of life which no-one can make but yourself. Persevere or retreat?
Stay or move? Accept, wait or reject? If only we had an overall picture with
a geologists survey of the trickle of water. Then we'd know whether our
digging was worthwhile or futile. If only we had a map of the surrounding
areas where possible streams are and how far away they may be.
But we do have a guide. He has the information because He has surveyed
the land and knows our strengths and weaknesses. But we must be tuned
into his frequency because he is at the end of our CB radio answering our
questions, thousands of miles away. It seems like he doesn't know where
we are or what we are going through but he can see us and our terrain clearly
- through the satellite above us. We just have to trust him and listen to his
voice and step out in faith. He is our sure voice in achieving our goal.

Two battle ships assigned to the training squadron had been at sea on moneuvers in heavy weather for several days. I was serving on the lead battleship and was on watch on the bridge as night fell. The visibility was poor with patchy fog, so the captain remained on the bridge keeping an eye on all activities.
Shortly after dark, the lookout on the wing reported, "Light, bearing on the starboard bow."
"Is is steady or moving astern?" the captain called out.
The lookout replied, "Steady, Captain," which meant we were on a dangerous collision course with that ship.
The captain then called to the signalman, "Signal that ship: 'We are on a collision course, advise you change course twenty degrees.'"
Back came the signal, "Advisable for you to change course twenty degrees."
The captain said,"Send: 'I'm a captain, change course twenty degrees.'"
"I'm a seaman second-class," came the reply. "You had better change course twenty degrees."
By that time the captain was furious. He spat out, "Send:'I'm a battleship. Change course twenty degrees.'"
Back came the flashing light, "I'm a lighthouse."
We changed course.

Aren't we like the captain at times when we try to tell God that his answers are not favourable? We believe that we know how to handle everyday situations and so just like the captain, we assume that this is just a routine task/procedure/decision. Hence we use our best judgement of what we believe is happening.
However sometimes our judgements are clouded because of the lack of insight/knowledge/advice. So we may underestimate or overestimate a situation which may then lead to disastrous decisions.
Do we accept God's answer and obey his instructions?
Do we choose to ignore the warnings he gives because we believe that it is not God? or
Do we blatantly refuse to obey his instructions because it just doesn't please or suit our character?
Sometimes, we just need to obey even though we do not see what is to come. Some may call as foolish for stepping out in faith. But ultimately, we will be safe. The foolish ones are the ones who reject the warnings of the God who see and hears everything! To those who do not know God, make sure you find out more about Him and how to recognise his warnings and signals by reading the Bible and talking with Christians.
