12. The Propitiation for our Sins (Forgiveness)

1 John 2:2 "He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world."

Father,
I bow today with a renewed sense of gratitude
for Your all-encompassing provision in Jesus.
It is so mightily assuring to be reminded from Your Word that
my debt of sin is completely paid;
my broken past completely destroyed;
my record of disobedience completely forgotten.
Please accept my prayer, my confession,
that I sometimes am overcome by the cloud of
condemnation cast upon me by my adversary.

Today, Lord,
I rise with the banner of the blood of Jesus,
to hurl it in the adversary's face.
In Jesus' name, my propitiation is complete;
my sin is completely covered;
I am completely free.

I rise to walk into this day,
and all of my tomorrows,
circled by the Savior's righteousness,
clothed in Jesus' sinless excellence,
rejoicing in my full acceptance.
Thank You, Lord!
In Jesus' name.
Amen.
