Dear Lord,
Like Isaah, who long ago said,
"I live amid a people of unclean lips and am that way myself,"
I come before You today.
There is so much pollution in my world, Father,
it seems that purity is a lost art for living.
But I come to be embraced by a love
so pure and powerful,
so comforting and keeping,
that the world-spirit has never been able to reduce its worth
or pollute its preciousness.
In the name of Jesus,
the heavenly Bridegroom,
I come today to be caught up in the arms of
eternal love and purifying fire.
By Your faithfulness, Jesus, keep me faithful.
By Your holiness, Savious, make me holy.
By Your loving-kindness, Lord, make the love I extend to others
bridegroom-like: both loving and kind.
I anticipate the day of Your coming again, Lord Jesus.
But until that day,
and amid these last days so infected with sin and sinning,
I choose to live in the provisions of Your name.
Today, in the name of the Bridegroom,
I live with hope and holiness.
By Your great love and power.
And in Your name.
Amen.
