I ask, What is love, 
But a fickle emotion?
Always up and down, 
Getting tossed in the ocean.




You say you love him, 
He sayse he loves you.
Then something happens, 
Everything's askew.




Your ship is tossed, 
In the stromy sea.
You ask the question, 
What's to become of me?




He gives you flowers.
But its not too long, 
A calamity happens.
Something else has gone wrong!




You run to your friends, 
And get everything out.
But when he asks what's wrong, 
You just stand there and pout.




When he walks away, 
You go in a rage, 
And say things just aren't working, 
You feel trapped in a cage!




He stands there in silence.
You stare at your feet, 
Wondering what he's thinking, 
With every heart beat.




You glance up and see, 
The hurt in his eyes.
In an instant you regret, 
Speakin those lies.




I'm sorry, you whisper, 
I didn't think it out.
You know I have a temper, 
I didn't mean to shout.




He puts his arm around you, 
The tears start to fall.
Everything's all better, 
But then, after all...
