Photos on the web:

Since a bunch of people wanted to post some of their own photos, I thought it would be best to use dotPhoto.com on the web. All you have to do is either set up your own account and e-mail me the details so I can add a link like I have done for Dinesh and myself. Or you can upload your pictures into a separate Contiki account that I have already set up. The account is lg261 and the password is contiki. Click Here to go to the account, just create a new album that has your name and upload away! It is pretty easy.

Shadows in Gloss
by Geoff Tranmer

TRAPPED in time they stare back at me, whispering
Speaking not in words or with voices, but with images
Images of times not since forgotten and of memories not yet immortilized
They speak to me of times that feel like distant dreams
Dreams that were so real and oh so genuine

As I flip through a stack of these ghosts
They haunt me in a way that mystifies me
Was I really there? Did I really do all those things
Did I really feel them or just touch a glimpse
I still hear them when I close my eyes at night
I still feel them when I let my mind drift away
Those memories they gave me, those memories they gifted to me
are now spread out on my bedroom floor

If I were to say sentimental, would that mean something
If I were to say treasure, would they have value to anyone else
If I were to say thank-you, would they hear me

They are but paper and colour, shadows in gloss
Reminding me of times and places that I will never
visit again, but always go back to
Back to a place in my mind when they were real, when
they were voices, to when they sang
To when they, if I can use such a word, when they were my friends
